The locations Central Innovation District (CID) and Binckhorst in The Hague are the designated locations for large-scale urbanisation. The Dutch central government and the region recognise the need to invest in sustainable accessibility. To achieve a mobility transition, the parties are committed to realising measures for slow traffic, clever use of space, smart mobility, high-quality public transport and upscaling the existing train stations. VINU supported the pre-MIRT (long-term programme for infrastructure, space and transport) survey aimed at coming up with a coherent and accepted package of accessibility measures in line with the development of the area.
