Over the coming decades, the area in and around the IJmeer will be developed into a stunning bay, offering a great place to work, relax and visit. A ‘pearl’ between Amsterdam and Almere, following the example of the San Francisco Bay Area. In the Work Place Bay, part of the Action Perspective Almere 2.0 programme, the Dutch government and the region are jointly drawing up an integrated development strategy for the area. Choices are being made regarding construction sites such as Almere Pampus and investments in mobility such as an IJmeer metro line. VINU is taking the lead in the Work Place project.
