To reduce emissions and noise pollution from aeroplanes, and to reduce the effects of the growth in aviation, the transition to electric, or hybrid, aircrafts is inevitable. This is why technological breakthroughs are necessary and the business model of airlines will change. The aviation sector, knowledge institutions and government have joined forces to realise this change, and to work together on an Action Programme Electric Hybrid Flight. VINU will provide programme management and facilitate the collaboration for the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.
